One of the materials that will inevitably be used in the production of furniture panels is the adhesive, and the most important factor affecting the environmental protection of furniture panels is it.

Next, the plate brother will explain the comprehensive knowledge of wood-based panel adhesives for everyone:

At present, the commonly used adhesives on the market are mainly divided into two types: aldehyde glue (trialdehyde glue), aldehyde-free glue (protein glue, MDI).

Formaldehyde adhesive (trialdehyde glue): urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive, phenolic resin adhesive, melamine resin adhesive.

Urea-formaldehyde resin:

The price is cheap, the fixed speed is fast, there is no color, the water can be well mixed, and the use is convenient. It is widely used in the manufacture of wood-based panels, and its price and cost are unmatched by other adhesives.

In order to solve the problem of free formaldehyde, it can be improved by reducing the molar ratio of formaldehyde to urea of the synthetic resin, adding a formaldehyde trapping agent to the urea-formaldehyde resin, post-treating the ammonia cement or urea solution to the wood-bonded product, and changing the resin. Synthetic process.

Its development direction is to overcome and slow down the aging and volume shrinkage of the resin, and to develop and promote urea-formaldehyde resin to release formaldehyde, improve the resin's glue water resistance and environmental aging resistance.

Interestingly, in the initial stage of urea-formaldehyde glue, the ratio of urea to formaldehyde is urea is greater than formaldehyde. However, with the low pressure and neglecting the formaldehyde hazard, the proportion is adjusted to be greater than urea.

At present, urea-formaldehyde glue is used to produce stencils, particle boards, fiberboards, etc., because such sheets are used in a large amount of glue, and the use of inexpensive urea-formaldehyde glue can reduce the cost. The environmental grade of urea-formaldehyde rubber sheets is generally E1 and even lower.
